Emerald, our International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, obtained a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from North Carolina State University and a master’s degree in Counseling from Liberty University. Emerald has documented her journey of motherhood and lactation education on various social media platforms and creates content related to breastfeeding basics, support, and counseling. She began her career in lactation as a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor, where she was dedicated to facilitating peer support groups for minority populations and specialized in in-home lactation care; she then became a Lactation Educator and IBCLC. Emerald is a mother to 5 children and enjoys copious amounts of coffee, interior design, and spending time with loved ones.
