COVID-19 vaccines are available for ages 6 months and up. Please call our office if you would like to schedule an appointment for a vaccine or have any questions. We highly recommend that all our eligible patients stay up to date on COVID vaccines as well as routine vaccines including flu vaccines.
COVID testing is available in our office by appointment during office hours. We have same-day rapid PCR testing available. We continue to have COVID-19 circulating in our community as well as many other viruses.
The most common symptoms of COVID-19 are headache, fatigue, sore throat, cough, or runny nose. Loss of taste and smell is an infrequent symptom. Not all people have a fever with COVID-19.
Asymptomatic people (no fatigue, headache, fever, sore throat, runny nose, or cough) exposed to COVID no longer need to quarantine unless they are in high-risk congregate settings but should wear a mask for 10 days and get tested at least five days after exposure.
The CDC is advising people with and without symptoms to test multiple times if they get a negative result on an at-home COVID-19 antigen test due to the possibility of false-negative results.
If you are symptomatic, test right away. If the result is positive isolate for 5 days and wear a mask for 10 days.
If you are symptomatic and home test negative, wear a mask, limit exposures, and repeat testing in 24 to 48 hours with either a PCR or a home test.
If you are exposed but have no symptoms, wear a mask and test on day 5. If a home test is negative, repeat a home test or get a PCR in 48 hours. Wear a mask in public for 10 days after your last exposure.
